WHEATLAND, CA. – Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain was commemorating the Lunar New Year with a weekend full of special events, Friday, February 12 through Sunday, February 14. The celebration included a traditional lion dance, completed with eye dotting ceremony, as well as drawings, giveaways, and food specials.

“It was our honor to commemorate the Spring Festival and celebrated the Lunar New Year with our cherished guests,” said Mark Birtha, Hard Rock Sacramento president. I can’t think of a better way to kick off the Year of the Ox.

The “Love All. Serve All” culture found at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento made it the ideal place to celebrate Chinese New Year. This was a time to embrace all of the unique elements that make up the Asian culture, and celebrating the joy found in new year. We know the importance of respecting each other’s difference. This Chinese New Year, Glenda Nelson of Tribal Chairwoman of Enterprise Rancheria; Mark Birtha, the President and General Manager; Will Provance, Vice President of Operations and Assistant General Manger; Anika Gaskins, Vice President of Marketing; John Kirk, Vice President of Player Development and Andrew Economon, Vice President of Hospitality together with friendly and hospitable Hard Rock team members and our VIP guest Mr. Kevin Chan, the owner of Golden Gate Fortune Cookies Co, they joined us at the Eye Dotting and Harvest Ceremonies to welcome and wish our cherished guests and communities a prosperous Year of the Ox. We endeavor to embrace and leverage those difference to achieve best-in-class experience and cultivate the stronger ties with our multicultural communities.

As is Hard Rock tradition, the celebration will also be marked with a commemorative Ox pin, available for purchase at the Rock Shop.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento’s Lunar New Year celebration would not be complete without mouth-watering food specials. Dishes like Thai Style Chili Fried Sea Bass, Indonesian Lobster, and Roasted Garlic Chicken will be available at YouYu , the property’s modern, high- energy Asian restaurant and noodle bar beginning February 12 until February 26.
